Advanced Preparatory International has put together an impressive Midnight Madness event with confirmed celebrities, music artist, and professional athletes, set for October 17, 2015

Dallas, TX. – One of the newest editions to the Private School community, Advanced Preparatory International is leading the nation with three of H.S. basketball top players. API will be holding their 1st Annual “API Midnight Madness” event which will showcase more than the hottest high school ballers in the country. Starting with API Boys Basketball Team vs API Staff and celebrity players. Trevon Duval, Terrance Ferguson and Billy Preston will lead the high school squad and allow the Dallas community to see what’s hot in the city.

IMG_2745The API Midnight Madness event also has some of music and sports industry’s biggest names taking part. Starting with global recording artist and TV Star “T.I.”. He and the BankRoll Mafia will entertain the crowd with a full concert and showcasing the music industry’s newest talent. Hometown favorite DORROUGH MUSIC will provide the “Halftime” performance during the Slam Dunk contest; which will be judged by NFL & NBA players. National touring dj “DJ DUFFEY” will wow the crowd by engaging them with her sweet blends of intoxicating mixes and sounds. In addition the evenings game and entertainment, the A.W. Brown Steppers will stomp the hardwood floor to a different rhythmic sound. Gelling all this madness together is none other than 97.9FM The Beat’s own “ROCK T”, who will be the evening’s Master of Ceremony.

FORT WORTH, Texas – This past weekend, Former Kansas Jayhawk Keith Langford brought his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas the first annual Metro Classic! The Metro Classic took place June 20th, 2015 at North Crowley High School, which consisted of a charity basketball game that included some of football and basketball’s top professionals around the area! There was also an autograph session prior to the game and prize giveaways.

Participants included Pro ball players David Kyles, Cameron Clark, James White, Demetric Shaw, Celtics Phil Pressey, Cowboys Tyler Patmon, Comedian Sydney Castillo, Recording Artist BHamp, Recording Artist Shelby Shaw, Alex Tiny B, Louie The Singer, Gin Blanton and Trent Shelton! Fort Worth Native DJ Wildhairr provided sounds. Shelby Shaw sang the National Anthem to kick off the game.

James Harden’s mother was in attendance and gave away autographed bobble heads of her son.

The proceeds from the charity game were donated to two attendees, one boy and one girl.

Hi everyone! Sorry for the delay, we have been working very hard since returning from NBA All Star! We first have to say it was great working with the National Basketball Retired Players Association! They put on some wonderful events and we were honored to be apart of them!

The NBRPA kicked off the weekend by having a Legends Celebrates Black History Month and Welcome Reception held at the Marriott Marquis.  On the black history month panel sat Spencer Haywood, Nate “Tiny” Archibald, Ralph Sampson, Richard Lapchick and Teresa Weatherspoon.


Saturday’s Publicolor Service project with Nate “Tiny” Archibald and Dolph Schayes was a great experience! We enjoyed being with the kids and helping the volunteers repaint Nate and Dolph’s old school, DeWitt Clinton High School.  Thurl Bailey,Teresa Weatherspoon and more were attendance as well.

Starting on Friday with the Welcome Reception/Black History Month event. Saturday is their philanthropy event the “Pubicolor Service Project” with Tiny Archibald and Dolph Schayes. Ending the weekend on a powerful fellowship on Sunday and will have its annual Legends Brunch w/ current and retired players.
