The 7th Annual Thanksgiving Hoopfest Served An Abundance of The Nation’s Top HS Basketballers

 

7th Annual Thanksgiving Hoopfest Kicks off with Top Basketball TalentThis year the 7th Annual “Thanksgiving Hoopfest” took place over Thanksgiving weekend at the Sandra Meadows Arena in Duncanville, TX. The annual event allows H.S. players to showcase their skills in front of College Coaches, Scouts, Media and their basketball fans. Attendees of this 2 day event had the opportunity to witness some of the Nation’s elite high school prospects battling it out.

Despite the Dallas shakey weather and Black Friday shopping madness, the Thanksgiving Hoopfest still had sports fans, media outlets, scouts & coaches entertained and for good reason. These teams from across the country came to have their chance to leave victorious from this holiday tournament.

The weekend concluded with the ever so hyped matchup between two of the best PGs in the Country, De’Aaron Fox (Cy Lakes) and Andrew Jones (MacArthur). The two went toe to toe, to deliver an undeniable show that wowed the crowd, presumably making this the matchup of the year.

DeAaron Fox (Cy Lakes) Regarded as top PG in class of 2016 with 31 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists.

Andrew Jones (Irving MacArthur)- Top PG in the class of 2016 with 29 points, five rebounds, and two assists.

Trae Young (Norman North) No. 25 player in class of 2017 by ESPN with an averaged 38 points, 6.5 assists, and four rebounds two games played.

Schnider Herard (Plano Prestonwood) Finished with 22 points and 8 rebounds.

Cam McGriff (South Grand Prairie) 26 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Harrison Henderson (South Grand Prairie) 13 points and six rebounds.

R.J. Nembhard (Keller Central) 22 points

C.J. Roberts (Richland) ranked 85 in class of 2017 Finished with 31 points, two assists, and two rebounds.

DeAndre Williams (SATCH) Finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds.

Turner (SMU), and Rob Fulford (Missouri).

With the help of this year’s Thanksgiving Hoopfest event sponsors, Nike Basketball, Gatorade, One Pass Away, and the BJR Foundation- Thanksgiving hoopfest was yet another success and reason why USA Today High School Sports named it one of the top 10 national events to attend this 2015/2016 season.
